In February 2022, we published our Keeping The Promise Route Plan. To mark Care Day and one year on from publication of the plan, we have produced a progress report aimed at children and young people.
The report covers some of our Keeping The Promise activity over the past year.
A British Sign Language version of the report is also available with sub titles, as well as a cartoon animation.
Roma Bruce Davies, SCRA’s Keeping The Promise Programme Manager said: “It has been such a busy year and we want to thank everyone who has worked with us to Keep The Promise. We also want to say a special thank you to all the Hearings-experienced children and young people who have worked – and who continue to work with us. Their voices are at the heart of everything we do.
Roma added: “Our Route Plan is split into two key areas – reform and improvement, whilst a significant amount of our work has focused on the reform agenda, we have also been making improvements to our current practices. There has been some amazing pieces of work – from our pilot sensory corner, to new accessible information materials – and there’s lots more to come!”
If you want more detail about our work to Keep The Promise, we have a dedicated section on our website. There is also more information in our Annual Report 2021/2022 and our Rights, Inclusion and Corporate Parenting Report Card 2021/2022.
