The Children’s Hearings System provides the operational setting in which SCRA and our partner agencies work.  The aim is to provide a safety net for vulnerable children and deliver tailored solutions which meet the needs of the individuals involved, while helping to build stronger families and safer communities.

Reporting to the Information Governance Manager/Data Protection Officer, you will be responsible for providing advice and guidance to Localities and Head Office to ensure SCRA meets its obligations under UK Data Protection laws.

Educated to degree level or with significant experience in a similar role, you will ideally have knowledge and understanding of SCRA’s responsibilities under the Data Protection Act 2018.

With excellent communication skills, you will have proven ability to develop strong and effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate should hold a BCS Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection or similar qualification.

This post is subject to PVG clearance by Disclosure Scotland.  It is normal practice to appoint at the minimum point of the salary scale.

All SCRA posts are subject to a probationary period of 6 months or the term of the contract if shorter.
